Del Síntoma al Sentido: hacia una Psicoterapia de la Recuperaciónen el Trastorno Mental Grave

La investigación sobre el trastorno mental grave (TMG) ha estado dominada durante décadas por un paradigma biomédico centrado en la reducción de síntomas y la eficacia farmacológica. Sin embargo, comprender el sufrimiento humano en la psicosis requiere una mirada más amplia, capaz de integrar las dimensiones psicológicas, sociales y existenciales de la experiencia. Este trabajo propone un desplazamiento desde el modelo de intervención orientado al control sintomático hacia una psicoterapia de la recuperación, centrada en los procesos de conexión, esperanza, identidad, sentido y empoderamiento descritos en el marco CHIME. A partir de una revisión narrativa de la literatura y de la experiencia clínica, se examinan los límites del enfoque biomédico tradicional y se aboga por una práctica terapéutica más relacional, reflexiva y humanizada, donde la recuperación se entienda como un proceso de reconstrucción del self y no solo de remisión de los síntomas.
